Overview
There are a variety of roles within this title such as Mechanics of different skill levels, Mechanic assistants, and Electricians. Maintenance and Electronic/electrical workers responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining and ensuring that the facility and its' equipment are running efficiently.
While performing the duties the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list)
Responsibilities
May operate heavy machinery
Use a variety of tools in order to repair, retrieve and maintain all equipment in working order
Conduct daily set-up of area and troubleshoot
Working around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity
Ensuring safety, food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT
