Job Location: South San Francisco, California
Pay Rate: $29-$30/hour
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8pm-6am
Description of Position:
Are you looking for a new career opportunity as a Night Shift Supervisor? Our client is seeking a candidate with supervisory experience, ideally suited for night shifts. Responsibilities include managing warehouse operations from Sunday through Thursday, overseeing inventory control, and planning the efficient use of labor, time, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Accurately count boxes, rotate inventory using FIFO, and perform cycle counts.
- Cold Storage Work: Operate in cooler and freezer environments regularly.
- Order Selecting: Scan and complete orders efficiently.
- Loading/Unloading: Use forklifts and electric pallet jacks for trailer operations.
- Staff Management: Train, manage, and motivate warehouse employees.
- Communication: Professionally communicate verbally and electronically with staff and management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain accurate equipment records.
- Deadline Management: Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Administrative Duties: Draft emails, create and modify company procedures, and document disciplinary actions.

Experience Required:
- 5+ years of warehouse operation experience (required)
- Food industry experience (preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
- Cold storage experience (preferred)
- Forklift certified (standup forklifts, electric rider pallet jacks)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Flexible schedule, including overtime and varying shifts
- Valid California driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds
- Comfortable working in cold storage for extended periods
