Position Title: Night Supervisor

Department: Branch Floor

Supervisor: Night Manager

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Supervises and works alongside Stockers and Hilo driver’s during night shift.

Essential Functions:

1. Develops schedules, monitors performance and recommends proper discipline as appropriate.
2. Trains employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures
3. Ensures that employees are performing the proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations as well as conducting periodic HACCP audits.
4. Reviews inventory for product rotation on a daily basis to prevent shrinkage and damages.
5. Performs product rotation as needed.
6. Ensures that shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing and market conditions.
7. Supervises and assists in the receiving and proper storage of products and ensures that the proper paperwork is completed.
8. Maintains accurate computer inventory levels by performing physical inventories on a regular basis and making adjustments as needed.
9. Supervises the ordering of products from vendors on a regular basis to assure we have competitive pricing and minimal shrink due to spoilage and not have too much inventory on hand.
10. Coordinates that the pallets stored in the racks have the proper block and date tags.
11. Follows program to maintain the cleanliness of the area by a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing, and pulling out pallets and cleaning underneath.
12. Insures that excess inventory not slotted on floor is stacked in overhead racks in close proximity to where it is sold or stored in freezers/refrigerators.
13. Assures that trash is removed from floor and properly handled.
14. Makes sure that low stock/out of stock information is communicated to the Inventory Controller after carefully checking the system and rack for product.
15. Ensures that all signage is correct and that the flyers’ prices are reflected on the product.
16. Coordinates proper merchandising of aisles (logical adjacencies, proper holding power, space allocation) and creatively merchandises and sets up impulse areas for merchandising.
17. Performs additional duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.
18. Performs weekly self-audits

Other Responsibilities:

1. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

1. Background in P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring and training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security and loss prevention mandatory
2. Effective leadership and communication skills.
3. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
4. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Work Environment:

1. Requires frequent exposure to cold temperatures when working in Produce, Deli, Meat, Freezer, and Seafood Department.
2. Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
