Physical Therapist Assistant Summary and Highlights:

Physical therapist assistants will assist in coordinating and providing patient and family education, and execute effective physical therapy services as appropriate. Therapist assistants will consult and coordinate with interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment.

Physical Therapist Assistant Details and Compensation:

• Location: Artesia, NM – 100% on site
• Payrate: $52k+
• Required Availability: Days, 8a-5p, occasional weekends

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

• Providing skilled treatment of functional mobility, motor function, muscular strengthening, sensation, wounds, ambulation, balance, social, and environmental needs
• Following an appropriate plan of care that includes measurable functional goals while considering patient’s psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
• Providing clear documentation that meets APTA guidelines and billing for appropriate charges in a timely manner
• Perform family/caregiver/patient education to increase independence upon discharge

Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of nationally-accredited PTA program
• 1+ year of experience preferred, but new graduates welcomed to apply
• Must be eligible for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board.
• BLS required before employment begins.
