I’m the medical director for Sound’s hospital medicine practice at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California. We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or physicians with experience desiring a career change. I would like to share more about our opportunity, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider your options.

People

• We are a closely-knit, established team of 16 physicians.
• The nocturnist schedule is 7 pm to 7 am and has the support of a swing-scheduled physician from 12 pm to 12 am.
• Hospitalist team is also supported by a clinical performance nurse and practice manager.

Practice

• Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28-bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU – The ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
• Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.
• We have a very diverse population of patients, which helps enrich us and allows us to learn about different cultures.
• Our hospitalists are expected to participate in 1-2 committees that you find of interest.
• The expected annual compensation for the Nocturnist position working 182 shifts per year is $382k base, plus productivity and quality bonuses.
• 7 on/7 off-block schedule.
