The Non-Profit Tax Manager is responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all exempt clients' tax returns whether prepared personally or by supervision of others. Advanced technical skills in a variety of tax and accounting areas, along with well-developed and applied management and supervisory skills are required. The Non–Profit Tax Manager may have input on any tax issue presented.

Job Details
The Non-Profit Tax Manager is responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all exempt clients' tax returns whether prepared personally or by supervision of others. Advanced technical skills in a variety of tax and accounting areas, along with well-developed and applied management and supervisory skills are required. The Non–Profit Tax Manager may have input on any tax issue presented.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and may prepare any return typically needed for exempt organization clients including (but not limited to): Forms 990, 990-T,
state returns, and state charitable registrations.
- Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax of any complexity.
- Assumes full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegates to the various tax staff as deemed necessary.
- Acts as a resource for non-profit tax and audit staff on specific tax issues and/or questions.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Master's degree in taxation preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in non-profit tax and public accounting
- Active CPA in good standing with the AICPA
- A minimum of forty (40) hours of continuing education is required each year to maintain and develop technical and business skills, as well
as to maintain license requirements.
