The Northeast Sales Manager will:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with on- and off-premise accounts in the New York market
- Identify, establish, and manage relationships with distributors in designated distribution markets, as well as directly with accounts in those markets
- Manage daily activities, distributor work-withs, sales meetings, in-store tastings and industry trade shows
- Execute quarterly distributor planning and goal meetings with distribution partners
- Achieve sales targets and profit objectives by brand and by state
- Develop and create a “Go to Market” action plan tailored for each new distributor launch
- Track and monitor placements, depletions, and trends across all channels
- Audit distributor billbacks and take corrective action if needed
- Develop and implement regional market plans at the distributor level to include the measurement and analysis of distributor performance against objectives
- Communicate market data, activities, and inventory needs clearly and regularly within organization
- Submit trip and expense reports in a timely manner
- Travel approximately 10-20%
You will meet or exceed the qualifications for this role with the following:
- 5+ years of current wine sales experience. We are looking for someone with active sales relationships.
- 2+ years of regional wine sales experience
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with emerging technology tools, including Sevenfifty, CRM and other forms of data sharing
- Entrepreneurial spirit: a self-starter and team player enthusiastic to collaborate and grow together
- Extraordinary attention to detail and highly punctual
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to create presentations and effectively and clearly communicate information
- Deep understanding of changing market dynamics
- The ability and willingness to travel, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record
- Must be willing to work some weekend and evening hours to support sales and marketing programs
