_Now Hiring - HVAC Service Technician_
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting service and maintenance on various HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and filters. You will also maintain contracts and grease bailers, troubleshoot equipment (including exhaust fan motors up to 100 horsepower), and perform work on rooftop units and sump chillers. Your responsibilities will include checking belts and ensuring they are properly greased.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform routine service and maintenance on chillers, boilers, air handlers, and associated components.
+ Maintain service contracts and grease bailers as required.
+ Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, including exhaust fan motors and rooftop units.
+ Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
+ Check and maintain belts for proper function and lubrication.
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
+ Respond to service calls as needed, including weekends on an on-call basis.
Skills Required:
+ Proficient in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
+ Related experience with sheet metal work.
+ Strong maintenance skills, including troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Work Site: This is a fully on-site position located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Work Environment:
+ Travel required across the state of Iowa, including work at capital complexes in Des Moines, prisons, and courthouses.
+ Work will take place in both commercial and industrial settings.
+ On-call duty every other Saturday/Sunday, with an average of 3 to 4 service calls per month, including weekdays.
+ Average of 50 hours per week with set working hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
+ Currently, there is one other service technician on the team.
