Exciting Locum Opportunity: Cardiothoracic Surgery PA/NP in Scenic Flagstaff, AZ!

Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Pay Rate: $135.00 - $145.00/hr (Paid weekly and eligible for health benefits)
Duration and Shift: 10 shifts per month plus on call

• Support the cardiothoracic surgeon in various procedures
• Manage 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients daily
• Perform 1-2 surgeries per day
• Handle specialized procedures like temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with proficiency in endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH)
• Education:
  • PA: Graduate from a university program accredited by the NCCPA
  • NP: Master’s degree in nursing; completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program; RN/NP First Assistant Program
• Certification:
  • PA: Certified or certification eligible by the NCCPA
  • NP: Medical-Surgical or NP certification from ANCC or AANP
• Licensure:
  • PA: Eligible for licensing in Arizona
  • NP: Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license
• Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
• DEA: Required
