A reputable Healthcare Network located in Trenton NJ is seeking NP/PA Acute CT - FT - Varied Shift - Cardiac Surgery Specialists
Position: Full-Time Cardiovascular APP
Work Schedule: 12s or 24 -hour shifts, no call schedule or outpatient responsibilities.

Position Overview:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Acute CT
Job Description:
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cardiovascular procedures and patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The APP will have the exciting opportunity to cover patient care across the entire inpatient spectrum while working in collaboration with both Cardiac and Vascular Surgeons.
Serve as First Assist during both cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Collaborate with attending physicians to provide exceptional patient care on the General Floor and in the Surgical ICU; as well as the ability to independently evaluate all inpatient and Emergency Room consultations.
Manage and monitor patients in the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit who have recently received either open surgical or percutaneous coronary intervention in collaboration with critical care attendings and physician colleagues from the general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology teams.
Contribute to patient education and provide support to patients and their families.
Physician Assistant
Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
One-year experience working with primary care management or acute care preferred.
NJ Physician Assistant License.
Experience in cardiothoracic surgery required.
Nurse Practitioner
Bachelor's degree in nursing and Master's degree in advanced clinical practice or graduate of post Master's certificate program for nurse practitioner.
One-year experience working with primary care management or acute care preferred.
Advanced Practice Nurse – NJ License
Experience in cardiothoracic surgery required.
Other Mandatory Qualifications:
Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience as surgical first assist and/or strong background in surgical critical care.
Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) and open vein harvest techniques.
Proficiency in placement of Central Venous Catheters, Arterial catheters, and Chest Tubes.
