Hours: 40
Shift: Day with weekend hospital rotations

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities:- Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager or designee, conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned Physician.
- Assess assigned patient progress and assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning.
- Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits which may require ordering laboratory testing and prescribing medications as needed.
- Act as a resource and/or consultant to phone triage nurses and take phone calls from parents as requested.
- Chart all findings completely and accurately in accordance with (Current Procedural Terminology) CPT billing regulations pertaining to patient visits.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
- Over 3 months experience.
- Prior cardiac RN experience required, and prior NP experience preferable.
