Shift: Day – no weekend, holiday or on-call

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities:- Under direction of the Medical Director of Structural Heart or designee, perform duties in evaluation, intra procedure assisting, and management of patients with valvular heart disease or coronary artery disease in the inpatient setting under the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts governing Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant practice.
- Evaluate and care for valvular heart disease patients in the In Patient / Out-Patient setting.
- Assume immediate coordination of assigned personnel and activities.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree in a related field is needed. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is needed. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is needed.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is needed. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is needed. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is needed. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is needed.
- Duties require the ability to care for critically ill adult patients with a wide range of medical problems.
- Position responsibilities require the maturity, self-confidence, and ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the Attending Physician.
- Over three years up to and five years of related work experience is needed.
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire.
- Must be qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards.
- Eligible for state and federal controlled substances registration.
