Title: Nuclear Med Tech
Location: Phoenixville, PA
Job-Type: Part Time\ Per diem
Part Time 40 hours biweekly: Every Thursday & Friday and every other Monday 7A-330P; On Call & Holiday Rotation
Per Diem:
Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (8- or 10-hour shifts)
Take a minimum of 1 weekend of on-call per month (Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm)
Take a minimum of 2 holidays of on-call per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving).
Responsibilities:
• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.
• Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, nuclear physics, mathematics and pharmacology.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications to obtain diagnostic images and/or provides therapy as ordered by physician.
• Ensures the delivery of quality care to pediatric through adult patients using professional and ethical judgment along with critical thinking in performing duties.
• To maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification, Nuclear Medicine Technologists must complete appropriate continuing education requirements to sustain a level of expertise and awareness of changes and advances in practice.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
• Post High School Diploma Program
Experience:
• Relevant Experience
Certification and Licensure:
• BLS Certification
• CNMT Certification
• NCT Certification within 12 months of hire
• NMTCB certification or Certification and registration in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT. Certification eligible Nuclear Medicine technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered (ARRT(N) and/or CNMT) within 6 months of their graduation date to remain employed.
