About the Job
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
- Work Location: Onsite; Mission Viejo
- Compensation: $65 to $73 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under supervision, performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients of all ages, utilizing various types of imaging equipment.
- Nice to have PET/CT experience and open to extensions
- Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration following current radiation safety guidelines and assists in the administration of therapeutic doses.
- Follows State and Federal guidelines for the safe use, receipt, and disposal of radioactive materials used in Nuclear Medicine. Schedules studies in NMIS and Epic computer systems using good judgment in prioritizing scheduling and works with physicians in Nuclear Medicine to provide a safe and effective operation.
- Under the supervision of an authorized user, performs those functions that enable the proper injecting, scanning, and processing of PET studies in a mobile setting.
- Assists CT technologists in the performance of diagnostic CT exams during PET/CT acquisition.
- Performs all other duties as necessary in the care of inpatients and outpatients in a clinical nuclear medicine setting.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or similar
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support required
- NMT-RHN - CA Nuclear Medicine Tech required
- ARRT-N - Reg Tech Rad-Nuclear Med Tech or
- NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech or
- ARRT-CT - Cert ARRT in CT
Experience
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
- PET/CT experience (preferred)
