Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Phoenixville, PA

Summary:

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Phoenixville, PA, to recruit skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

• Part-Time (40 hours biweekly): Thursdays & Fridays, every other Monday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; on-call and holiday rotation.
• Per Diem:
  • Minimum 4 shifts/month (8 or 10 hours) at Phoenixville Hospital & Limerick Outpatient Center.
  • Minimum 1 weekend on-call/month (Sat & Sun, 8 AM - 4 PM).
  • Minimum 2 holidays on-call/year.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in providing quality patient care and diagnostic information by combining scientific knowledge, technical skills, and effective patient interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine scans according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating and maintaining nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications safely and accurately.
• Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure a comfortable experience.
• Monitor patients during scans for adverse reactions.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients.
• Ensure the delivery of quality care to patients of all ages.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine.
• Maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification through continuing education.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Experience:
  • Relevant experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
• Certifications and Licensure:
  • BLS Certification
  • CNMT Certification
  • NCT Certification (within 12 months of hire)
  • NMTCB certification or ARRT(N) registration. Certification-eligible new graduates must obtain certification within 6 months.
