Responsibilities:
- Nuclear Medicine Imaging: Perform nuclear medicine scans according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
- Patient Care: Administer radiopharmaceuticals, provide patient education, and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Follow radiation safety protocols and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Professional Development: Maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Experience:
- Relevant experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
- Certifications and Licensure:
- BLS Certification
- CNMT Certification
- NMTCB certification or ARRT(N) registration (required within 6 months of hire for new graduates).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Schedule:
- Per Diem: Work a minimum of 48 hours in a 6-week schedule.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in the department's on-call rotation.
