About the Job
We are seeking a skilled IRA Sourcing Specialist to join our team on a hybrid work schedule. This role is crucial in supporting the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Prevailing Wage requirements for our Nuclear Business Unit. The ideal candidate will possess extensive strategic sourcing experience and be located within the Charlotte, NC metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support IRA and Prevailing Wage requirements by educating suppliers, negotiating pricing impacts, and handling new contracts.
- Educate Nuclear BU job sponsors and contract managers on IRA requirements.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and releases to ensure compliance with IRA requirements.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain IRA program lead and companies tax organization to address IRA-related inquiries.
- Ensure suppliers submit compliant monthly IRA prevailing wage payroll and resolve any issues.
- Complete necessary training to perform sourcing/procurement work independently.
- Manage procurement of complex services and materials, including pricing comparisons, bid events, and negotiations.
- Analyze complex bid responses, highlight commercial differences, and make recommendations based on evaluation criteria.
- Handle strategic projects and initiatives, focusing on supplier relationship management.
- Resolve billing and shipment discrepancies, achieving cost savings through negotiations and contract consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with sourcing standards and corporate policies.
- Perform expediting activities to support station schedules and critical needs.
- Stay updated on market conditions, commodities, and diverse supplier opportunities.
- Collaborate across various organizational levels and functions to achieve sourcing goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, including:
- Request for Proposal (RFP) and bid event development
- Supplier proposal evaluation and technical review coordination
- Analyzing bid responses and recommending suppliers based on evaluation criteria
- Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers
- Managing supplier relationships and internal business unit partners
- Strong sourcing, contracting, negotiating, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in relationship management and analytical skills.
