Summary
This is a temporary position that will be anticipated to last 10-12 weeks. You must be a student currently at Williamson College of the Trades or Salem Community College (NET program majors).
Performs work in the preservation and maintenance of the Nuclear Department buildings, structures and equipment
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Duties are:
Learn functions of positions in Maintenance and Operations departments including performance of basic support activities whichdo not require task-specific training or qualifications.
With qualified nuclear personnel:
+ Perform plant tours and inspections
+ Perform basic technical writing and document reviews
+ Set up temporary safety barriers and protective screening around work areas
+ Transport and stage equipment in support of work by qualified personnel
+ Assist Nuclear Departments where unskilled labor is required
+ Maintain shop and work location in a neat and orderly condition
+ Perform less skilled work
+ Must be able to perform job duties according to company’s safety policy and procedures
+ Incumbent may be required to work in contaminated and/or radiological controlled areas
+ Ability to wear personal protection equipment
Job Qualifications
_QUALIFICATIONS:_
+ Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
+ Must meet the Company’s “General Requirements”, as defined in the Union handbook
+ Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
+ Must demonstrate the ability to follow simple instructions and carry out routine assignments; an aptitude for mechanical work; keen faculties of observation
+ Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
