Nurse Consultant - Long Term Care

As Clinical Nurse Consultant for our nursing home group, you will be directly responsible for the nursing for our facilities. Visits may be scheduled on days of your choosing and more frequently if necessary.

Visits will include, but not limited to, review and compliance of:

• General facility nursing compliance rounds
• Incident reviews
• Admission reviews
• Discharge reviews
• Review nursing programs (ie Infection Control, Psych, Weight, etc)
• Survey prep
• General chart reviews
• Staffing issues
• Train/educate staff as needed
• Assisting facility nursing management when necessary

Nurse Consultant will:

• Be on call 24/7 as reference and guide for the facilities
• Report directly to Director of Clinical Services
• Submit facility reports to Director of Clinical Services
• “Sit” temporarily as DON/ADON if necessary
• Assist facilities with POC and IDR when necessary
• Orientate/Train new Nurse Managers
• Attend scheduled meetings and training seminars
