Full Time Day Shift Nurse 6am -630pm RN OR LPN DAY SHIFT FLOOR NURSE

The Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable for a variety of clinical and supportive care and provides patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing. Must exercise independent discretion in giving selected care, planning, coordinating and supervising, teaching and evaluating nursing care on assigned unit. Is directly responsible for CNAs performance and development. The Charge Nurse demonstrates excellent customer service. He/She upholds the standards contained in the mission, vision and values of St. Francis Home & Rehab and any applicable Federal, State, and/or Regulatory Statutes/Guideline.
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting positively with elderly and/or handicapped. Work with residents to gain their cooperation, to interact effectively with personnel on unit and in other departments and with families and visitors of Residents. Will be required to work in often hectic and stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to effectively motivate and direct others.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program and maintains a current license as an RN in the State of Michigan.
Familiarity with state and accrediting agency requirements for long term care preferred.
