Today we are hiring a Nurse Educator - Emergency Department. This position is in our clients Torrance, CA location. This position comes with a $10,000.00 Sign On Hiring Bonus.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Nurse Educator, This is a full-time, variable position that will work 8-hour shifts.

This role is tailor-made for individuals with a robust background in the Emergency Department (ED) and a seasoned skill set in nursing professional development, poised to elevate the quality and impact of their initiatives. Thanks to their PTAP® accreditation, you’ll leverage a standardized education program to deliver top-notch Transition into Practice training for new graduates entering the ED, Angio Recovery, or Cath Lab. With the strong support of local, divisional, and system education peers, their collaborative spirit is potent, and their resources are designed to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll also be pivotal in advancing the clinical skills of their ED caregivers, empowering them to expertly handle critical scenarios including emergencies, strokes, heart attacks, obstetric and pediatric emergencies, as well as trauma and accidents. This training is key to the enhancement and support of their Comprehensive Stroke Center, Stemi Receiving Center, Metabolic and Bariatric Accredited Program, Joint Commission Certified Palliative Care Program, and their Level III NICU. You will serve as a consultant, educator, researcher, and clinical expert for the medical center and service area. You will demonstrate expertise in the care of age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) according to clinical specialty, and participates in related continuing education.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Advanced study in area of clinical specialization
Course work in adult education principles
Coursework/Training in Performance Improvement and research methodology
Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
3 years Acute hospital experience in clinical specialty area
1 year experience in adult education, patient/family education
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing or will accept current enrollment in Master's Degree program
Within 2 years of hire: Nursing specialty certification
