A health system in New Jersey is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join their ambulatory Care services team as a Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Care Services (RN). As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Care Services (RN) will collaborate with providers and other clinical care team members to develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered care plans aimed at achieving desired outcomes.
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Care Services (RN) will:
- Oversee the delivery of ambulatory patient care, ensuring competent, safe, and compassionate care by enforcing Patient Care standards throughout the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with the Director of Ambulatory Care and CMO to manage clinical staff, including interviewing, hiring, developing, guiding, counseling, and disciplining staff. Provides clinical supervision of LPNs, RNs, MAs, and other clinical staff to ensure all competencies and responsibilities are met
- Supports and advocates for clinical roles in ambulatory practice, promoting employee engagement activities, collecting feedback, and implementing efficient clinical workflows with appropriate staffing, skill mix, and resource utilization
- Participates in Quality Improvement and Infection Prevention activities, supporting national and statutory quality outcomes initiatives, and collaborates with infection prevention staff to uphold infection control protocols and standards
- Manages timekeeping, payroll, attendance, and scheduling for direct reports, addresses employee issues and procedural performance-related concerns, fostering an environment conducive to creativity, shared decision-making, and collaboration
- Ensures medication products and clinical equipment are up-to-date, stocked, and available as needed, including ordering, proper storage, and reviewing expiration dates
- Collaborates with Ambulatory Care leadership and clinical services managers to maintain efficient patient flow and achieve productivity goals, providing oversight and support to appointment schedulers, and participating in interdisciplinary teams and meetings related to Quality Improvement programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- NJS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 5 years experience working in Ambulatory Care Services
- 2 years supervisory or charge nurse experience
- Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, state and federal regulatory guidelines
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Masters or better in Registered Nurse
