Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Bryant Staffing Solutions

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Emergency Department (ED), ensuring delivery of top-tier patient care aligned with regulatory standards. This role includes 24/7 accountability for the unit, covering operational management, interdisciplinary collaboration, adherence to protocols, and financial planning. The Nurse Manager will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and evaluating both nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system while guiding the front-line team.

• Develop and implement care goals and objectives focusing on patient outcomes, quality, and organizational initiatives.
• Oversee daily ED operations, ensuring staff preparedness for emergency/disaster responses.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and external regulations, adjusting as necessary.
• Manage unit budget, prioritizing financial resources effectively to support patient care delivery.
• Promote cost-effective resource usage, aligning with staffing plans and productivity targets.
• Foster collaborative relationships through effective communication, coaching, and mentorship.
• Coordinate educational and evidence-based practice initiatives in partnership with the Department of Education.
• Support the organization’s Magnet program goals, including data collection, governance support, and documentation.
• Participate in organizational committees and drive performance improvement consistent with mission and vision.
• Address and resolve patient, family, or regulatory concerns promptly, aiming for service recovery when needed.

Required:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Skills: Ability to adapt to evolving patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, commitment to continued education, and high standards of patient-centered care.
• License: Active NJ State Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

• Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Certification: National certification in specialty area (if eligible)
• Experience: Five (5) years' progressive leadership experience within healthcare settings
