**This is not a remote position. This position will operate out of our Virtual Care Command Center at Cox South Hospital.**

Our virtual nurses are centrally located in the Virtual Command Center at Cox South. They use this technology to support our bedside RNs with tasks to make lighten their workload as well as monitor patient’s vital signs, assist with admissions and discharges, and collaborate with our virtual physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and Early Intervention Team! Job Summary
- Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients; identify a plan of care; and implement and evaluate the care given. Coordinates and directs direct care and virtual care given by team members. Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care. The virtual care manager is responsible for managing projects, governance structure, and the Multidisciplinary Advisory Committee. This individual provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across the department. The position leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. The manager will assist staff to navigate complex medication conditions and care environments. The manager will integrate and collaborate closely with multiple departments across the system. The manager is responsible for educating, communicating, and coordinating all staff members.
Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem solving skills required.
Job Requirements
- Education
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Experience
- Required: At least 3 years of critical care experience
- Skills
- Represents the department on several process improvement, standardization, and regulatory committees
- Operates strategic plan by setting and monitoring department Key performance measures and goals
- Determines department scope of care or service in relation to values, mission, and strategic plan of the organization
- Identifies and integrates relevant data to drive excellence as it relates to the virtual care team and programs.
- Assist with developing long term department plans
- Working knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management
- Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines
- Goal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development. Maintains organizational and priority setting skills
- Delegates appropriately to other team members
- Works collaboratively with technical team, system nursing leaders, eICU Medical Director, System CNO/CNIO/CMO, and members of the physician and/or APP teams as requested as part of the care delivery model
- Creates an inclusive environment by promoting cross-functional ownership, encouraging, and incorporating the diversity of ideas and solutions

Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: Nursing License active in the state of Missouri
Required: BLS/ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Preferred: CCRN certification
