SUMMARY
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute inpatient setting.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in specialty units.
License Requirements
- Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia.
- Annual education for unit-specific and hospital skills.
- Annual education per hospital certifications.
- BLS
- ACLS/PALS if required for team members in specific unit.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work under stressful and changing situations.
- Leadership competencies as defined by the organization.
- Annual Augusta Health educational requirements per hospital certifications and defined unit competencies.
- Regulatory Requirements- Designated Accreditation body, State, Fire, Environmental, etc.
- Standards of Practice for respective areas.
- State Nurse Practice Act
