The Nurse Manager, Med/Surg Telemetry, will report directly to the Director of Nursing for Medical-Surgical Services. This role involves close collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
The Med/Surg Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, 30-bed unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to excellence in patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Med/Surg Telemetry Unit, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care quality and safety.
- Manage unit resources, including staffing, budget, and equipment, to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations and participate in the recruitment and training of nursing staff.
- Monitor patient care activities and outcomes, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and unit activities.
Requirements:
- RN Degree.
- RN license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role will earn a quick interview .
- Strong clinical skills and expertise in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
