Job Summary and Qualifications
- The Emergency Department Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s).
- The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care.
- The Manager assists the Admin Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.
What qualifications you will need:
Licensure/certification/registration:
- Texas State RN license or compact license required.
- BSN required.
- BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC within 30 days of hire; PALS required within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within 18 months of hire.
- Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.
Experience Required:
- 3 years of nursing experience in Emergency Services and 2 years of management experience required.
- Experience with managing and understanding throughput
- Strong focus on patient experience
- Ability to create and invest in a positive and supportive environment
- Strong team player
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM- can be flexible
