Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Emergency Department Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s).
• The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care.
• The Manager assists the Admin Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/certification/registration:

• Texas State RN license or compact license required.
• BSN required.
• BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC within 30 days of hire; PALS required within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within 18 months of hire.
• Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.

Experience Required:

• 3 years of nursing experience in Emergency Services and 2 years of management experience required. 
• Experience with managing and understanding throughput 
• Strong focus on patient experience 
• Ability to create and invest in a positive and supportive environment
• Strong team player 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM- can be flexible
