In this role, the Nurse Manager/Scheduler will assist the Director of Nursing by maintaining appropriate staffing for the Nursing department and will assist the Director of Nursing with compliance with medical records in accordance with the current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility, will work closely with nursing department to ensure effective staffing for delivery of resident services according to current regulations.

What You'll Do
- This position will be responsible for scheduling nursing staff for all three shifts, including the monthly schedule and the day-to-day scheduling changes. Staffing schedules are to be communicated and posted in a timely manner, as determined by the Director of Nursing, so staff is aware of their schedule in advance. This position is responsible for contacting staff and/or staffing agencies in a timely manner to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Responsible for approving the Nursing Department Time Cards for payroll. Entering bonuses, approving time off, and other payroll-related items.
- This position will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate medical supply inventory, including oxygen, is available and within an established budget. Ordering may be done by a separate department director but may serve as backup as needed. Check-in medical supplies once they are delivered, and ensure items are put away in the medical supply storage area by the nurse manager or designee.
- Required to be available for on-call duty as required to meet staffing needs of the facility.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for residents with medical providers in the community, as needed.
- Assist with new admissions as needed.
- Assist with maintaining the accuracy of logs and communication books.
- May assist as needed with audits, medication reviews, staff interviewing, MDS, care planning, and care conferences, as well as any other assistance needed within the nursing department.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
- Assist social services in planning the nursing service portion of the resident's discharge plan.
- Make written/oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
- Provide the Director of Nursing with information relative to the nursing needs of the resident and the nursing services department's ability to meet those needs.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including Nursing and STNA.
- May participate in the development, planning, conducting, and scheduling of the in-service training classes that provide instructions on how to do the job and help ensure a well-trained staff.
- Monitor nursing staff to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises nursing employees in the nursing unit; responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems for residents or resident family members.
What You Need
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Licensed in the State of Ohio as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Salary & Benefits
- Location: Grace Brethren Village, Englewood, OH
- Salary: $60k-$65 plus 10K sign-on bonus, weekend on-call bonus, and possible matrix-based bonus opportunities
- M - F 8a - 5p plus On-Call rotation during the week and on the weekend.
