Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Function as a liaison between patients, physicians and other healthcare providers + Provides leadership and coordination for the Cardiothoracic ICU + Guides and directs the activities of the Staff Nurses, Assistant Managers, Patient Care Technicians and support staff in the designated unit **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Provides Human Resources support hiring staff, development of performance standards + Demonstrates excellent customer service that ensures patients and family members are attended to in a professional manner. + Supports hospital mission and objectives + Monitors high standards/care practice by team **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field, or enrolled in a Master's program. At least two years formal supervisory leadership experience in ICU services preferably surgical ICU.
