- Schedule: Part-time 20 hours per week, weekdays only (No weekends, or holidays) - 3 days one week, 2 days next week rotation; 8 hours day shift
- Call Schedule: no call required for this role
- Practice Detail: Unique hospital based position in the Structural Heart clinic. NP will facillitate care coordination of multiple complex patients to ensure positive outcomes and effective overall plan of care.

What You Will Do:Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Advanced Practice Nurse for our Specialty Cardiology Department in Joliet, Illinois.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients.
- The Clinician should exhibit a passion for cardiology/structural heart disease and be open to being part of a rapidly growing and evolving program where adaptability is paramount.
- Seeking candidates with cardiology experience and prefer candidates with an understanding of procedures offered such as TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) and WATCHMAN.
- Candidate needs to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team including interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Candidate will educate patient and family members ensuring they understand the care being provided, testing being performed, medical conditions including treatment plans and expected outcomes.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
