Cardiovascular APP position

Baylor Scott & White, Heart and Vascular Hospital Fort Worth is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join their growing cardiology team in the cardiac catheterization pre/post procedural unit. The APP will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular and electrophysiology disorders. This position requires no weekends, holidays or call.
Opportunity Highlights:
Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts,6am-6pm
No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements
Area: Pre/post cardiac catheterization unit
Perform history and physical consultation for patients scheduled for cardiac, EP or vascular procedure
Manage post procedural complications
Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular disease processes, independently and in collaboration with the physician(s)
Discharge patients from the cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and/or CVS service lines, and provide appropriate follow-up
Limited inpatient rounding responsibilities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited AGACNP nurse practitioner program or PA program
Cardiology experience preferred but not required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) OR the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB)
Unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant (PA) OR Nurse Practitioner (NP) AGACNP license, Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire or transfer.
