East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time RI licensed Nurse Practitioner that concentrated in Family/Individual Across the Lifespan (FIALNP) to join our Health Centers located in Barrington and East Providence, RI. This role will work closely through a multi-disciplinary team approach to provide all aspects of patient care including diagnosis, treatment, referral, and consultation.
Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical services to individuals and families, regardless of age or gender, on a continuing basis.
Perform various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition and analyze reports and findings of tests and examination to diagnose condition of patient.
Administer or prescribe medications/treatments and discuss potential side with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
Refer patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being.
Assist the operation of the Health Center to function as an integrated care model and synchronize with other EBCAP services.
Supervise allied health professionals (nurses and medical assistants) of the care team.
Work continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner.
Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure, with concentration in Family/Individual Lifespan or Women's Health (APRN/CNP) through the RI Department of Health, and board certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Prior experience in women's health, including illnesses, disorders and injuries of the female reproductive and genitourinary systems.
Prior Experience in the illnesses, disorders and injuries of patients of all ages as well as pre- and post-operative evaluation and care.
Recognition of psychiatric disorders in patients of all ages, emotional aspects of non-psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, alcoholism and other substance abuse.
Community issues, such as child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, elder abuse and neglect, disease prevention.
