Job Overview - Nurse Practitioner (NP):
Take on a key role with our New Jersey client as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), specializing in ambulatory care for inmate patients within a correctional facility. You’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals and security officers to ensure effective patient care.

Compensation: $135,000 - $165,000/year
Location: Lakewood, NJ (Various NJ Locations)

Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner (NP):

• Patient Care: Perform and document medical evaluations for inmate patients in compliance with national and state standards.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications as per state regulations.
• Collaboration: Work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient histories and treatment outcomes.
• Medication Management: Monitor and manage patient medications effectively.

Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner (NP):

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensing: RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification in New Jersey (DEA, CDS, and DEA-X licenses are also required).
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience: 2+ years of direct patient care experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
