Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Pracitioner to provide services at a facility in Woodbury, New Jersey. The Psychiatric Nurse Pracitioner will offer comprehensive psychiatric care to elderly and infirmed patients at a long term care facility.

Responsibilities:
• Provide routine and consultative psychiatric services to residents ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Notify the Facility Administrator or Director of Nursing of any changes in services affecting residents.
• Evaluate all new admissions with psychiatric diagnoses or on psychiatric medications.
• Conduct evaluations for residents diagnosed with psychiatric conditions, Alzheimer's, or dementia.
• Provide grief counseling for residents and staff on an as-needed basis.
• Work towards achieving the lowest effective medication dosage.
• Other duties as assigned by management
