100% FTE, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 4:30 pm.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Provide comprehensive care to gynecologic oncology patients with varying acuity and diagnoses.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide consistent high-quality care to our patients.
- Perform history and physical, pre-operative visits, post-operative visits, develop, manage and modify treatment plans. Perform in office biopsies and procedures. Provide basic post-op wound care.
- Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending or consulting team in order to adjust plans of care.
- Perform hospital based and ER consults. Admit and discharge patients from the hospital (co-signature needed).
- Discuss role and side effects of chemotherapy with patients and their family. Future growth may include prescribing chemotherapy.
- Complete survivorship care plans, discuss cancer surveillance guidelines and review cancer recurrence by outlining test results with patients.
Education :
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner:
Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Family; Women's Health.
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
