About the Job
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance provided to patients in Wound Care. In coordination with the VP Support/CIO the Nurse Practitioner in Wound Care is responsible for initiating, guiding, and directing the coordination of services provided by the Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses to Wound Care. The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner assumes responsibility for the overall patient care activities in Wound Care.
Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Three years previous clinical nursing experience in Wound Care.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. Wound Care and HBO certification.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Diving experience preferred. CPR
