JOB SUMMARY:
The Nursing Recruiter will coordinate the recruitment and hiring of nursing staff for the medical center.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
SOURCING AND RECRUITMENT:
- Proactively source, identify, and recruit qualified nursing professionals for various healthcare facilities.
- Screen and interview candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to attract top nursing talent.
COMPLIANCE VERIFICATION:
- Ensure all nursing candidates meet the required state and federal compliance standards, including licenses, certifications, and background checks.
- Review and verify candidate documentation such as nursing licenses, certifications, immunization records, and continuing education credits.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare compliance regulations and ensure candidates are informed and prepared.
DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate compliance documentation within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Manage the collection and submission of all necessary paperwork, including employment eligibility verification, background checks, and drug screening results.
ONBOARDING AND ORIENTATION:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all compliance-related documentation is completed and submitted before starting employment.
- Provide new hires with compliance training and orientation, including company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION:
- Liaise with healthcare facilities to understand their compliance requirements and ensure that recruited nurses meet those standards.
- Communicate regularly with candidates regarding the status of their compliance documentation and any additional requirements needed for employment.
REPORTING AND AUDITING:
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and healthcare facilities as required.
- Conduct regular audits of nurse compliance files to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory standards.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
- Identify opportunities to improve the nurse compliance process and implement best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest trends and requirements in nurse compliance and recruitment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple recruitment tasks simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge of nursing roles, responsibilities, and qualifications to effectively assess candidates' suitability for specific positions.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate candidate resumes and applications to identify relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges and find innovative solutions.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive candidate information.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and candidate assessments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve recruitment goals.
- Familiarity with relevant employment laws and regulations related to the recruitment process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, with a strong focus on nursing or clinical staff.
- Proven experience managing compliance processes for healthcare professionals, including verification of licenses, certifications, and other regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and compliance management software to track candidate documentation and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and state and federal compliance requirements for nursing staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple candidates and compliance tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to onboarding and compliance verification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
COMPENSATION
- Pay for this position will be commensurate with experience.
