About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center
ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center – a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.
Position Summary
- The nurse manager practices in the framework of the mission, vision and values of ECU Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations.
- The manager is a clinical leader with focus on producing excellent patient outcomes, patient and family engagement, workforce management/ development and clinical efficiency.
- The nurse manager is the front line leader who partners with physicians and manages staff and resources to promote safe, timely, efficient, effective and patient focused unit operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher is required
- License as a Registered Nurse (RN), must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing is required
- Three to four years or more related experience is required

- Location/Department: ECU Health Beaufort (Washington, NC) - Emergency Department (16 beds)
- This leadership position is full-time (40 hrs/week) with Manager on call 1 week ( 7 days) every 6 weeks.
