- Training position that includes a combination of a formal CNA course as well as on the job training to prepare employee for a CNA position.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Progressive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit supports patients experiencing a variety of complex conditions and provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides increased monitoring, assessments and interventions.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Healthcare Provider level BLS required within 60 days of hire.
- Experience and/or training in Microsoft Word, Outlook and electronic medical records preferred.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Time Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
- Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
- Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues.
