Primary Function
Responsible for coordinating and assisting Nursing Administration with various tasks. Maintains data collection, tracks, and audits various data.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile and maintains data collection for various reports in Inpatient Assessment Center (IAC) and the Inpatient Nursing Departments and nursing administration as assigned by CNO, ACNOs, or their designees.
- Assist in tracking staff absences and tardiness staff tracking for worker’s compensation, FMLA, and long-term illness. Counsels staff regarding LOA process and keeps appropriate documentation.
- Oversees staff completion of mandatory trainings (including CBLs) and manages updated staff licenses/records in IAC.
- Assists with payroll in IAC and Identifies discrepancies and makes the necessary adjustments to payroll in a timely manner.
- Notifies IAC providers regarding missed billings to ensure all services are properly billed. Follows up with providers regarding missing documentation.
- Organizes and distributes weekend/holiday administrative coverage for IAC.
- Organizes and distributes staff holiday coverage schedules for IAC.
- Reviews, manages, and distributes daily IAC department and Nursing reports.
- Reviews department tracking reports for IAC and inpatient units to include checks sheets, environmental safety checks sheets, restraint and seclusion documentation and notifies Department Manager of discrepancies.
- Performs other auditing tasks as requested for Inpatient Nursing units as assigned.
- Documents and distributes meeting minutes.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
High School diploma with some college courses required and Associates Degree preferred. Must be able to work with Microsoft outlook and excel. Experience working with various computer applications. Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
