O&M Coordinator at TEKsystems

TEKsystems is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Coordinator for a Fortune 100 technology company to enhance their Facilities and Building Support Team in New York, NY.

We seek an experienced, vibrant professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication. They should also understand the nuances of being an approachable but smart client or buyer – fostering transparent external relationships, and balancing frugality with creativity.

Key Qualifications

• Facilities operations experience - a significant portion of which should demonstrate success in one or more of the following areas: facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, and/or hospitality management;
• Highly skilled in oral & written communication and customer service & satisfaction
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple client needs; office furniture changes, upgrading current workspaces, and building maintenance management of commercial property
• Able to quickly adapt to new concepts, processes, and tools

Job Summary

• HVAC Expertise: Understands operation of HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, heat pumps) and can challenge technicians to find solutions.
• Facility Management: Ensures facilities are maintained per standards, manages third-party contractors/vendors, and oversees small capital projects.
• Relationship Building: Develops and maintains relationships with landlords, property management, and service providers.
• Project and Initiative Support: Drives special projects and strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Crisis and Compliance: Participates in crisis teams, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages reporting to business leaders.
• Team Leadership: May supervise and advise team members, ensuring project schedules are met and problems resolved.
• Communication and Decision Making: Communicates persuasively, makes balanced decisions, and anticipates impacts of actions on others.
