Job Description
The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City MO is seeking an OB Technologist to assist in the delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention, providing a safe environment in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Position Details:
· Shift Day Hours: 3 – 12-hour days per week (6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.) – 36 hrs per week
Responsibilities:
· OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention.
· Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.
· The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
· The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs.
· The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
· The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.
Experience:
· Childbirth & Surgical procedure experience preferred
