We are actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic OBGYN Sonographer to join our dynamic medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through the use of ultrasound technology. This role involves performing diagnostic patient exams, ensuring the accuracy of ultrasound images, and providing a detailed analysis of the findings to physicians. The OBGYN Sonographer will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care. Responsibilities:
1. Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.
2. Analyze sonographic images and synthesize data to provide a preliminary report of findings to the physicians.
3. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
4. Ensure the ultrasound equipment is in good working order, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
5. Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent patient care, answering any questions or concerns patients may have regarding the procedure.
6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
7. Participate in department quality improvement activities and professional development opportunities.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in sonographic technology and best practices in the field of OBGYN sonography.
Qualifications:
1. Successful completion of a Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
2. Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an OBGYN Sonographer.
4. Exceptional technical skills with a high level of proficiency in sonographic procedures.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sonographic data and provide accurate preliminary reports.
7. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field of OBGYN sonography.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols.
