Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. With four locations in Shreveport and Bossier City, we are the largest providers of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

Under direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for assisting with patient assessment, treating individual patients, and patient groups; delivering home program, patient, and family instructions; participating in family and team conferences; conduction equipment inventory, maintenance, and orders; and documenting services according to departmental and hospital standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program; certification by COTA
- Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the State Board of Occupational Therapy
- Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred;
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
- Basic computer skills with minimal guidance
