Position Overview:
Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with disabilities or developmental delays. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Provides clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.
Job Description :
_Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems._
_Completes and documents patient evaluations and tests per established standards and regulatory requirements._
_Based on the data, identified problems, and diagnosis from the exam, develops and updates the patient’s Plan of Care (POC)._
_Assesses and provides/progresses treatment for patients per plan of care per established standards._
_Completes all documentation related to charge capture per established standards._
_Coordinates patient care effectively and efficiently with other care provider and support team members._
_Compliant with other department and organization requirements and responsibilities._
_Works flexible shift assignments, e.g., days of week, hours._
_Provides clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides._
_Serves as clinical instructor for assigned students._
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INPATIENT EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED
EDUCATION:
+ Other: Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
+ OT-Occupational Therapist
+ BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC LICENSURES & CERTIFICATIONS:
+ Department: Home Health - CDL-California Driver's License
+ Department: Home Health - INS-Auto Insurance
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.
+ Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
+ Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
+ Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
+ Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
+ Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
+ Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

Pay Range is $57.51 to $72.94 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
