Mon-Fri 8a-5p (1/2 day Acute care and 1/2 day Outpatient Rehab)
Position offers very competitive pay and one on one patient care with patients. A large and busy clinic with PT and ST services as well. Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate a patient, establishing realistic goals and then planning and administering a treatment plan/program with the patient's capacity and tolerance to achieve that goal.
Scope of Responsibility
Occupational Therapists will document findings in compliance with regulatory bodies. Other duties include: Assessment utilizing available protocols and guidelines, fabrication of splints, apply and search resources for best practices, and willingness to learn. Must also be available for coverage for Acute and IPRU areas and caseload evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Must be a graduate of American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) approved school
- Must hold a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Texas
- Minimum one year of clinical experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist is preferred
- 1 year in Outpatient Rehab and Acute care preferred
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of patients, visitors, physicians and outside sources
- Basic computer skills
- New graduates will be considered
