Schedule (Including any on call/weekends): M-F 8am-5pm; no weekends, holidays, or on call
Our Award-Winning Client is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist for home health services. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing in-home therapy services as prescribed by the attending physician and offering consultation to agency staff and physicians.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least 1 year of experience in Occupational Medicine
- 2+ years of experience in Social Work
- Valid Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) in the state of Pennsylvania (PA)
- Valid Regular Driver’s License (DL)
- Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA PALS)
Preferred:
- Please provide your OT license number.
Overview
The Occupational Therapist will provide in-home Occupational Therapy services to patients, following treatment plans approved by the attending physician. They will guide patients and family members through therapy, adapt and design necessary devices, and ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and develop short and long-term treatment goals.
- Guide and instruct patients/families in therapeutic and self-care activities.
- Instruct patients and family members on the use of orthotic or prosthetic devices, and design adaptive devices when necessary.
- Re-evaluate patients as needed to adjust treatment plans.
- Maintain clinical progress notes and report to the physician regarding patient progress.
- Provide consultation and instruction to other home health team members when necessary.
- Prepare reports for the physician and third-party payers regarding care.
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education.
- Participate in staff development and agency activities, including in-service, case conferences, and staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule and Shift Details
- M-F 8am-5pm; no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties required.
Travel
- Local travel within Avella, Claysville, and surrounding areas.
