Occupational Therapist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients to identify their needs and functional abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals based on your assessments.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional skills.
- Use adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance daily living activities for your patients.
- The Occupational Therapist educates patients and their families about treatment plans and exercises will be a key part of your job.
- Regularly monitoring patient progress, you will adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Thorough documentation of patient outcomes will be required to comply with facility protocols.
- Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of occupational therapy services and participate in professional development to stay current in the field.
- The Occupational Therapist guide patients on lifestyle modifications and injury prevention strategies to promote independence.
Occupational Therapist - REQUIREMENTS
- Shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of the District of Columbia.
- Shall hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year in outpatient ortho and neuro experience.
- Graduate from a program accredited by ACOTE – Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
- Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification as an OT.
