Occupational Therapist / Certified Hand Therapist (CHT): Vero Orthopaedics 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85k-$100k/yr. commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. No weekends.

Work setting: Outpatient Clinic

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our team at Vero Orthopaedics. In this role, you will provide specialized therapy services to patients with upper extremity injuries and conditions, focusing on rehabilitation and functional improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities, splinting, and exercise programs to enhance recovery and function.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment activities, and outcomes.
• Stay updated on current practices, techniques, and advancements in hand therapy.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice as an occupational or physical therapist in Florida.
• Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient-centered approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with a variety of hand and upper extremity conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in splint fabrication and hand therapy modalities.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in hand therapy.
