The Technical BD & Sales Professional is a strategic role focused on driving divisional sales growth and technical solutions within an assigned territory.
This position combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver customer-focused solutions, manage product qualifications, and develop new business opportunities.
VPG is seeking a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for sales for our MicroMeasurements division.

Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customer accounts, providing end-to-end account management within the assigned territory.
- Actively engage with existing customers to maximize sales and organic growth. Identify and qualify potential new customers, developing them into profitable business opportunities.
- Provide expert application support and sales assistance to customers' technical and purchasing staff, ensuring timely and successful project completion.
- Analyze competitive landscapes, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and prepare comprehensive sales reports to track performance and inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage and oversee development projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

- Salary role with bonus potential, base salary range $110,000 - $135,000

The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual’s unique set of knowledge, skills, education, experience and geographic location, as well as internal equity.
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales of sensors or similar industries, with a strong focus on OEMs.
- A solid understanding of strain gage technology, sensor applications, and industry standards. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A deep understanding customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Travel up to 40%
